The Tale of the Tail: The PureSnug Logo Creation

The Tale of the Tail: The PureSnug Logo Creation

Introduction:

Once upon a time, there was a quest to craft the perfect undergarment line—elegant, practical, silky soft, and promising to hug your skin like a warm whisper. As the creator, I named this garment line 'Pure Snug'. It's not just a name, but also a concept embodying the comfort and snugness the products aim to provide.

After finalizing the name, I brainstormed a logo icon for Pure Snug. It's not just a logo, but a beacon of snug joy for the active soul and the lounge-loving couch potato alike. Here is the rough procedure that guided the PureSnug logo creation.

Procedure:

Phase 1: Define the Product Range:

Ladies first, so we started with ladies' boxer briefs, boxers, bralettes, and socks. We will expand to a men’s range in the future.

Phase 2: Define the Target Audience: It's all about YOU 💗 🙂.

1)     Who are you?

Perhaps you're a golfer finding Zen amidst the greens, a climber scaling the heights, a yogi in the flow, a tennis player serving aces, or a noble couch potato in your fluffy kingdom.

You crave undergarments that are not just fabric and elastic, but a silent comrade for your adventures, a comfy confidant for your laid-back dreams.

2)     Is that all you yearn for?

Imagine undergarments that cradle you in comfort, support, breathability, elegance, and a playful spirit, clothing you with the respect and personality your heart desires.

3)     How will you feel?

A sense of freedom, snugness, and playfulness. The colours are excited and energetic, yet calm.

Are these visions to your liking? Your voice matters to us; share your dreams, and let's weave them into our fabric.

Phase 3: Exploring the Logo Icon

Remember the fox from the book "The Little Prince"?

In our story, the PureSnug logo unfolds with the grace of that very fox—refined and fluid. A creature that sprang from the tender narrative of Saint-Exupéry, full of charm and sagacity, whispering secrets of playfulness into the creator's vision.

Thus, our logo took form: a fox, sleek in silhouette, with a fluffy tail highlighted in shades of orange and peach—a symbol of playful elegance.

Phase 4: The Brief for the Logo Designer

1)     Inspiration

Drawing inspiration from the titans of symbolism, like Apple's simplicity and Evernote's wisdom, the logo was to be a symphony of snugness and frolic, a symbol that hugged one’s heart with a sense of freedom and support.

2) Logotype

A combination mark logo, pairing the logo icon with the ‘PureSnug’ wordmark.

3)     Versatility

The logo must be designed for versatility, ensuring it scales effectively across various digital and print mediums including business cards, letterheads, vehicle stickers, websites, social media, app icons, and packaging. Additionally, it should be adaptable for use on physical apparel items such as waistbands, boxer briefs, socks, t-shirts, and hats. It should also be workable in black and white.

4)     Minimalism

The logo should be simple, enduring, and striking, incorporating a fox symbol with a highlighted tail to represent playfulness and snug comfort.

5)     Color Palette

Orange, peach, and black. The colour combination should be vibrant and full of energy yet convey a sense of serenity.

6)     Target Audience:

Aimed at a universal audience, the logo will initially brand women's undergarments, wrapping women's apparel in its initial embrace, with a nod to the men's range in the future.

And thus, the PureSnug logo was born—not just stitched but storied into existence. A testament to the snugness that awaits at every turn of life, for every person who believes that underpants should be a playful whisper of support to the very soul. And they all lived snugly ever after.

The end? No, just the beginning.

P.S.: Thank you for reading. I will keep updating my progress with PureSnug, and I am glad to involve you in the process as it grows and evolves. Email me if you have any suggestions.
